Residential Care
On our ground floor at Nottingham Care Village, our residents are supported with a range of day-to-day tasks.
Where a low level of care is needed, residents simply feel more comfortable in the loving and caring environment at our Care home. This includes having all their nutritious meals prepared by our highly trained chefs, with specific dietary requirements taken into account, and all domestic tasks being supported by our care team, whilst also being able to take full advantage of the wide range of activities the home organises.
Our team of dedicated and nurturing carers will assist with everyday tasks and personal needs, such as bathing, dressing, dining and mobility. We’ll spend time with both residents and their family members to create a person-centred care plan.
Our dementia care home offers a compassionate team who respect the dignity of everyone at all times, which we believe is one of the most important parts to take into consideration when moving into a care home.

Getting Out and About
We know that each and every one of our residents is unique with their own story to tell. Their individuality sits at the heart of our care and how they live their life at Nottingham Care Village. All this starts with listening to their history, their likes and dislikes, what makes them smile and everything they are happy to share.
Some residents may enjoy a peaceful corner to paint or perhaps reminisce with old records playing. We welcome families input on all these aspects so that we can have a complete picture of our residents when they become part of our community and enjoy the camaraderie. We understand that it’s the personal touches that make the difference.
Signs of Ageing Or Dementia
As our loved ones grow older, changes in memory or cognitive function are common but distinguishing between normal ageing and early signs of dementia can be difficult.
Dementia is not a disease itself. It’s a collection of symptoms that result from damage to the brain caused by different diseases, such as Alzheimer’s. These symptoms vary according to the part of the brain that is damaged.
Different types of dementia can affect people differently and everyone will experience symptoms in their own way.
Our staff receive specific training in dementia care and mental health awareness. Our management and staff are Dementia Care Champions and we encourage all staff to undertake this training. Our team will maintain your loved one’s everyday routines, supporting them in every way so that they can enjoy a sense of independence in a safe environment.
As part of the ongoing support for our resident who are living with Dementia, we have Reminiscence Afternoons, Singing for the Brain and Memory Boxes are located around the care home, which families are encouraged to be involved with.
