Nottingham Care Village has 55 bedrooms, each with en-suite shower facilities for privacy.

Each bedroom contains a lockable drawer for you to keep your valuables. Your room is your private space and staff will treat it that way, ensuring that they knock and ask permission before entering. Each room is equipped with an alarm call system; other alarm systems are also used throughout the Home for personal care and protection.

Bedrooms & Lounge

Bed linen and towels are provided and a laundry service, free of charge, is available. Rooms are fitted with a television and telephone line should you wish to use them. Each room is tastefully decorated and furnished to a high standard. You are also able to bring your personal items to create a homely feel to your space.

Our Day room provides a dedicated area for those wanting to enjoy a movie experience. We screen a wide variety of modern and classic favourites. Lounges at Nottingham Care Village are light and spacious, tastefully decorated with coordinating settees, chairs and soft furnishings. Large screen televisions and audio equipment are fitted in each lounge area.

Step into our warm and welcoming Traditional Pub – the Village Inn. Our pub has classic decor, cosy seating and the charm of a real local. Our pub offers our residents the chance to relax, socialise, and enjoy the atmosphere of a favourite pastime – all within the comfort and safety of the care home.

Meal times

We have fully qualified chefs who are able to provide for any specialist dietary requirements. Food and drinks are available on all floors at all times during the day and night. Relatives may also use these facilities. Residents are able to enjoy meals in the dining rooms or in smaller areas within the home. We offer flexible mealtimes so you can choose to eat and drink at a time that suits your needs.

Gardens and Activities

Our gardens are well stocked with shrubs, plants and potted flowers. Residents are encouraged to use the gardens and also help maintain the plants if you wish to do so. The outside areas can be accessed via the conservatory room and through the patio doors in lounge areas. The gardens are safe and secure, with trees and fencing so you can enjoy this private area free from intrusion.

The home runs a daily Stimulating Activity Programme involving various visiting artists, organised by our Activities Coordinator. Addressing the varied needs of each individual is at the heart of the activity programme. This is regularly monitored and changed to suit the residents’ needs.

Mixing both physical and intellectual stimulation, the programme offers a variety of activities. Staying active later in life has huge benefits and all activities are designed to have a positive effect. Alternatively, residents may wish to be pampered using our in-house facilities such as the hairdresser, reflexologist, massage therapy and beauty treatments. Our staff will be happy to arrange for chiropodists and other professionals to visit the Care Village as required.

We believe that day trips are also an important activity and help to keep residents active and maintain a social life. Excursions provide a cultural experience and change of scenery. Therefore, when the weather permits, we organise fully supervised visits to local attractions and places of interest. We celebrate all National days and social days. eg. Valentines Day, residents’ birthdays etc.
